WIL&KO Sells Up for a Song.

Logical, I am sure this is a trait think that’s what is under a Capricorn star sign I could probably Google it while I am typing but what can I say I have the tendency to be somewhat lazy. Anyway I have always thought logical when some one asks the question,
“Are you a half glass full or half glass empty person?”
Firstly this question to me is stupid, because as soon as I hear this question I always think, well if you dying for a beer after work and you accidently spill half of the beer you suddenly think man this is only half full. However if it is 1am in the morning you have already thrown up in some dodgy night club toilet, and your mates are forcing you to drink the last bit of your stubby then of course it is half full.
So what happens if you lose another member of the band, so instead of 4 you have 2, you than have to think are we half full, half empty or are just plain up that creek with two lost paddles and a couple of Somalian pirates shooting bullets at your arse. Logically I had to take step back and think about how to continue on.
The half empty man says we can’t play live unless you are the Black Keys or the White Stripes but because we don’t have a colour in our name we are banned by the UN from performing as a two piece.
The half full says just keep recording, both Beau and I can record all instruments with a little help from our friend Jerry “The race car driver” Freedman. This is now the plan.
So at the moment we will be going into the recording process again which we will problem do a little ditty called Redland.
It was Mister Jeremy “Wilko” Wilkinson who decided he had run his final race, after a two day recording session of the song “Soul Breath”, which is now the mastering stages and we are actually happy actually the continued progress of it.
The band was Wilko’s idea, it was he who approached me to form some kind of outfit that we had no idea what we were going to sound like or even if we could put together a chord or a lyric between us. He was modest with his ambitions, he wanted to learn to be brave enough to sing and play in front of people, sober and on stage. He wanted to record a good album (we didn’t) write some good songs which we did, I think we have he wanted to be known as a good Perth band. We are still famously an unknown band after nine years of treading water. The only regrets was for him was that we never recorded earlier and we seemed to waste too much time do nothing.
Wilko however has walked away happy, and content, he finally recorded a song he was proud but as they say life gets in the way a bit. We differed in a few ways, he just wanted to enjoy the moment and record, I am a bit more ambitious and probably just a little more into playing music. So we parted ways without a Yoko Ono fight, and we both amicably agreed that it time was even though it is a little bit sad.
He is now building a house right on the ocean and has now hooked on his new found love of surfing and his Stone Temple Pilot and Pearl Jam.
So stayed tuned for the brand new release of the song Soul Breath, with the final sounds of Wilko on guitar and backing vocals.
